Think global, act local
The world runs on pallets. An invisible hero that transports things where we need them. Many pallets are reused and reclaimed, but there are a percentage that unavoidably end up with the end consumer and are wasted. I wanted to change that.
Accessible solution
The solution makes use of the existing pallet piece dimensions without the need for cutting. Simply take the pallet apart and reassemble it into a community notice board following a simple set of pictorial instructions and basic tools/woodworking knowledge
Global Community
The instructions are printed onto each pallet by its manufacturers in the hope of inspiring its reuse wherever in the world it may end up. This conscious consideration for end of life transforms this symbol of globalisation, and all its environmental negatives, into a solution that benefits and enriches the community environment on a local scale.
