Top Trumps have a problem. They want to appeal to 18-25 year olds but their current offering just doesn’t cut the mustard. They needed to generate ‘hype’ around the brand and a desire for people to collect them as status symbols. Produced as part of D&AD New Blood Awards 2022.

Cards are given a rebrand incorporating bespoke illustrations and meaningful categories to make them premium, desirable and ‘hype-worthy’ for a target generation who love to display their passions. This fresh stylish take stays true to Top Trumps’ impressive heritage, making use of original features, while offering contemporary and consitent styling that is ready (and begging) for display.

Whatever you’re into so are we?

Sure, baby animals and world’s tallest skyscrapers are interesting enough, but for the target audience to really engage with the brand it has to offer more desirable topics that are talking points, expressive of identity and encourage collection and display. We’re talking status symbols or the aspirational here – think trainers, contemporary art, perfumes...
